I had consulted with my agent approximately a year before deciding to retire. She is very knowledgeable and firm with the retirement process. She also demonstrated sensitivity and patience with me to ensure a fair and final outcome. Even after the retirement process was completed, She continues, on occasion, to "check in" on how things are going. I recommended her to my friends and family. She is a "Class A" act!
There is zero cost to you for the review. Our network of agents and advisors offer this as a complementary service because you are employed by a public district. This service is also available for any family member.
Most financial advisors do not have specialized training on how your pension system works and how to optimize your pension benefits as part of your overall retirement plan. Even if you already have a 403(b) account or have a financial advisor, it is generally recommended to conduct a review with a pension expert at least annually.
Our network of advisors are not employed by any district or state. Generally, school districts, local or state government departments do not allocate funds to hire staff to give you an unbiased review of your options for your pension and retirement. Our network of advisors are state licensed, have extensive experience and specialized training to serve their clients who have a public sector pension.
Typically, all meetings are virtual through Zoom for your convenience and comfort. You do not need a Zoom account to attend the meeting.

Our experience with our financial professional has been incredibly positive, helpful, and reassuring. From our first conversation, we felt comfortable with our agent. We had spoken with a few advisors who represented other companies and didn’t feel like it was the right fit for us. But when we spoke with him, we quickly felt we could trust him, that he was looking out for OUR interests and that he was striving to find the right products that met our needs. We have never felt pressured to purchase anything, and we have always felt that he was on our side. A financial professional is more than a business associate. For us, to be most effective as our financial professional, he or she must have enough of a relationship with us to truly know our values, priorities, and desires for our future. Only then is it possible to truly have OUR best interests in mind. He has taken the time in our conversations to know not only our financial picture but also our lives, our family, and our values. We highly recommend him as a financial professional!

I am a single mom of three and I knew I had to take control of my financial future. I was alone a didn't know much about where I should be putting money or if I could even afford to start saving for my future. [My agent] worked extensively to develop and implement a financial plan for me. He made the process simple and easy to understand and I appreciated his patience and expertise. Your insight was extremely valuable to me and I don't think I could have done this without you. I appreciate all the time you spent with me.

I just wanted to take a moment to write a note of thanks for sharing your financial expertise and assisting me by answering questions about retirement, investments, and personal finance strategies in a way that is easy to understand and provides the clarity I need to identify my short-term and long-term financial goals for the future. Thank you also for being responsive to appointment scheduling. I find this service to be useful as I continue to monitor my finances. I would definitely recommend your financial services to others because it has been so helpful to me. Thanks for all you do.

During the pandemic I decided to make a change with my financial/retirement advisor. I wanted someone that met with me regularly and checked in to note any changes that may have occurred during the year. [My agent] is knowledgeable about retirement planning. He checks in at least twice a year to learn of any financial changes that may have occurred or sets up an appointment to review my financial goals and retirement plans. I appreciate his genuine concern for my financial planning needs and setting me on the right path. My only regret is I didn’t start working with him sooner.
State employees & educators have a variety of benefits available to them: pension plans; life insurance; and other retirement plans. The only downside to having a variety of options is not knowing how to choose and trying to decide which are best for you, your family, and your short- and long-term goals. Our job is to take away that downside by providing you with insightful planning advice.
We Understand State Benefit Choices
Our network of agents and financial advisors work every day with public sector employees to understand their state government and how they fit into an overall financial and retirement plan. Their job is to provide individualized counseling to learn more about your situation and goals, and review each benefit and make choices that maximize your financial potential and coverage options.
Why This is Important
Our goal is to help ensure that your benefit choices are properly selected to help you maintain a healthy situation in the present and to help you plan for a high quality of life throughout retirement.
